Judgement Day

Judgement day!!
Well I can start counting down and preparing for my appeal to be heard!

When I submitted the appeal papers I was told that it was quiet at the moment and so it might not be too long till my appeal date, but I took that with a pinch of salt as the average is around 9 months. Got my date though and it’s less than 38 days to go!!

No doubt I will already start playing it out in my head but when asked the question “Do you think you should have got the enhanced rate of mobility?” I need to work on an answer other than “Duh!!”

The fact that an upper tribunal has said that “walking through pain is not walking to an acceptable standard” can only help my case. Will be talking to my doctor at the chronic pain clinic next week to ask if he can give me some evidence to present at the appeal.

We’re through the looking glass now and the countdown has begun. Bring it on!!!

I was diagnosed with Relapsing/Remitting MS in 2004 when I was 20. I originally started this page document my progress using Oxygen Therapy but now the new PIP has started to replace DLA and I, like so many others, have been told i am no longer eligible to receive a Motability Car and so I am fighting against the DWP to explain exactly why they are wrong.
